Consider sending a prayer heavenward on behalf of another, maybe even a stranger! Are you driving more than you’d like, well, invite God along. Pray for not only your safe journey, but for the unknown needs of those who share the road with you. You can incorporate this very idea in the day to day activities of life. Pray for your family while you cook dinner, that the meal bless them in body and that your bonds grow stronger as you gather around the table.
Prayer can be your ministry. Did you know that we have ladies in our congregation the knit or crochet prayer shawls for members and individuals dealing with illness or trial in their lives. As they create the shawl they pray for the one who will wear it. No matter what the project may be, anytime you do something to lift up another and include a prayer the recipient is bless and a bond is formed. What a blessing.
Once you get in the habit, making prayer a central part of your life becomes second nature, your spirit will lift, and you just might see a little more light in the world around you! So make prayer a part of every day. You will be blessed!
